International Migrant Uttarakhandi Conference: Migrant people living in 17 countries gathered, discussions will be held on many topics

The first International Migrant Uttarakhandi Conference is being organized in the capital Dehradun today. The registered migrants for this had reached Dehradun on Saturday itself. On reaching Doon, the migrants were overwhelmed to see the welcome with the cultural traditions of Uttarakhand at the airport and hotel. On the initiative of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Uttarakhandis living in 17 countries have gathered together today. Chief Minister Dhami will inaugurate it. In the conference, panel discussions will also be held in four different sessions on the possibility of investment in Uttarakhand, hospitality-wellness, skill development, employment abroad and higher education as well as possibilities in garden herbs. Shailendra Negi, who came from UAE, thanked the CM for the event and said, the welcome with the cultural traditions of Uttarakhand has been a unique experience. Many migrant Uttarakhandis who have earned a name in different fields while living abroad are participating in the conference. Apart from Girish Chandra Pant, a Dubai resident who received the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman, it includes names like Dev Raturi from China, Dr. Anita Sharma from America, Bhuvan Tiwari from Japan, Sunil Thapliyal from Singapore, Meenakshi Dabral, Dr. AK Kala from Thailand.

CM Dhami himself took the initiative to connect the migrant Uttarakhandis living abroad with their soil. Before the Investor Summit organized in December 2023, Dhami went on a foreign tour. Where the migrants welcomed him with the customs and traditions of Uttarakhand. During this, many successful people met the CM. After this, the CM directed to form a Pravasi Uttarakhandi cell in the government to take advantage of the experience of such migrants as well as organize an International Pravasi Uttarakhandi Conference.
